I honestly do not utilize either library on campus to its
full potential. I used Carnegie library a bunch my freshman year as well as
last semester, however it was just mainly to have a quite place to do work. I
rarely, if ever, use Bird Library. I have used it a couple times to quickly
print myself of something before class, but have never picked up a book.
Additionally, I occasionally use Bird as a place to meet groups, and sometimes
grab a quick cup of coffee. Checking out
this book was the first book I had ever checked out. I was so new to the
process the original book I attempted to check out I had to put back because it
was a reference book. To be brutally honest I think that I have not been past
the second floor of Bird library. The
sad thing is I doubt many students even check out a single book in their entire
time at Syracuse. Nowadays anything can really be found on the Internet if one
looks hard enough. Now I have caught a glimpse of the potential of the library
I think I am going to at least try to go there more often and even check out
another book.
